NEW YEAR, NEW HOPES, NEW DREAMS


On 10th July, 2019, Fr. Corlis Gonsalves sdb, the Director of Bosco Boys Home and Technical Training Institute, (BBHTI), Borivali had organised a general staff meeting for the CWC, Technical and Hotel Management department of the Institute. The general idea behind the meeting was to introduce the newly appointed staff namely Mr. Manuel Dias as the Instructor of the Electricians, Mr. Keith D’Souza as the Instructor for the Automobile Department and Mrs. Anita Menezes as the Instructor for the General Duty Assistant- Nursing Course. The meeting was also used to pass on some general instructions related to the smooth functioning of the institute and to answer the queries if there were any.
Fr. Gonsalves addressed the staff in general regarding the feeling of equality, punctuality and functionality. He stressed on the importance of been an inspiration to everyone by bringing about a positive change in the life of students and colleagues they meet. He individually explained the roles of each department and helped them understand the policies and requirements expected from them. He thanked the staff for their dedication, commitment and hardwork they put in daily and encouraged them to continue it. The staff were also given time to clarify their queries.
During the meeting, Dn. Xavier Bandya sdb was introduced to the staff as the new Prefect of Studies of the CWC and the Vice- Principal of the Technial and Hotel Management department by Fr. Corlis.  He was warmly welcomed by the staff.

CARING AND SHARING WITH LOVE

          The students from Mary Immaculate, Borivali came to Bosco Boys’ Home (BBH) respectively on the 19 th and 20 th of December with celebrate and spread the spirit of Christmas to the boys of the orphanage. The trip was organised by the Management and staff of Mary Immaculate Primary and High School section. It was divided into two batches on the 19 th the Primary section and on the next day the Secondary section. The students were accompanied by Sr. Payal, MSA and the other staffs from the school. The students started with an introduction by playing an icebreaker game wherein they got to know the names of the boys. Then the programme started with the pictorial description, carol singing and a skit beautifully enacting the Nativity of the Lord explaining to the boys about the real meaning of Christmas. PARENTS MEETING

On the 5 th of November, 2018 the management and staff of Bosco Boys Home had organised a Parents meeting.   As the Diwali holiday came near the children of Bosco Boys Home were in happier mood as they were informed that they would be allowed to go home for few days for the Diwali celebration. Taking his opportunity, the staff decided to have a brief meeting of the children along with their parents informing them about the progress of their child and new projects been prepared for the betterment of the children. Fr. Corlis Gonsalves, the Director of the Institute, welcomed the parents and briefed them about the upcoming programmes been planned for the children and the new rules applied by the Child Welfare Committee for the children regarding the holidays.
