FIELD TRIP VISIT TO WATERSTONES

The Batch no. 33 of the Hotel Management Department of the Bosco Boys Home and Technical Institute, Borivali had their 1st field trip visit. An educational visit to the hotel “Waterstones,” located near the International airport in Andheri (East),Mumbai. A flagship property of Mars Enterprises and Hospitality Pvt Ltd.

The Mars Group is a leading player in the food service and hospitality industry in India, promoted by Sanjay Narang. In all 25 students participated in this exposure which was well co-ordinated by Mr.William Sequeria, the instructor of the Facility Management Department of Bosco Boys Home and Technical Institute and by Miss Chetna and Denise the HR Manager of the hotel. The students were guided through the various departments of the hotel by Miss Grace from the training team of the hotel.

“It was good practical approach for our students. To really see how they actually work in such hotels, will make them realise what is expected from them. ” quoted Mr. William. One of the students Sanjay Ekka said “I come from a small village in Jharkhand and have never seen such a big and spacious hotel. I am really thrilled to have got such an experience. It was an eye-opener for me.”

FLY HIGHER

“Life is a beautiful journey and let’s together, Fly higher!” Keeping this thought in mind, around 25 volunteers of the NGO Fly Higher India paid a visit to the Bosco Boys Home in Borivali on October 28 from 10.30 am to 1.00 pm, to spread smiles to the ones who really deserved it. The NGO Fly Higher India (FHI) is an initiative of Apmvm Foundation, a Not-for-profit organisation. Started in end of 2017, the initiative soon spread to various cities and impacted lives of thousands of children and involved hundreds of volunteers. Its aim is to inculcate life skills, instil values, and imbibe confidence among the underprivileged children and youth across India. WELCOME TO DN. XAVIER BANDYA SDB

MUMBAI, JUlY 11, 2019: Bosco Boys Home, (BBH) Borivali welcomed Dn. Xavier Bandya sdb to their community. He is appointed as the Perfect of Studies and the Catechist of the boys at the Shelter home (YAR cordinator) as well as the Vice Principal of the Technical Institute. Dn. Xavier arrived at BBH, after having completed the course of Bachelor Degree of Theology at Jnana DeepaVidyapeeth (JDV), Pune . Fr. Corlis Gonsalves sdb, the Director of BBH welcomed Dn. Xavier introduced him to the boys. The boys welcomed him with a melodious “Swagatham Dear Father” song and a beautiful free style dance on the song “Baki sab First Class hai”.
