DREAM COME TRUE






Bosco Boys Home (BBH), Borivali believes in giving the best for the boys keeping in mind the holistic growth of the boys. Keeping in sync with the goal to provide the latest facilities for the all-round development of the boys and to help them to grow into well balanced, good and honest Human Being. BBH opened an ‘astro turf’ for the better growth and development of the boys in the field of sports.

The astro turf was inaugurated by Mr. Nawal Seth, a benefactor and well-wisher and blessed by Fr. Corlis Gonsalves SDB, the Director of BBH on 18th of February, 2020.

Fr. Gonsalves after the blessing of the turf said, “I am very happy for you dear boys. The management and the staff are providing you great infrastructure, make good use of these facilities for your growth and become well trained and healthy boys.” Fr. Gonsalves, while acknowledging the contribution of Mr. Seth expressed, “Here I would like to specially thank Mr. Seth; he was instrumental not only in initiating the work but also assisted throughout as the turf was being laid. Bosco boys will always be grateful and pray for you.”

Naitik Hate, one of the boys of BBH shared, “I am very grateful to Don Bosco for the latest amenity in the area of sports. For most of us playing on the turf was just a dream but now it is our ‘Dream come True’; it will be a first time for most of us to play on a turf.  I am sure this turf court is going to help us in excelling our skills and talents in the area of sports.”

“Life is a beautiful journey and let’s together, Fly higher!” Keeping this thought in mind, around 25 volunteers of the NGO Fly Higher India paid a visit to the Bosco Boys Home in Borivali on October 28 from 10.30 am to 1.00 pm, to spread smiles to the ones who really deserved it. The NGO Fly Higher India (FHI) is an initiative of Apmvm Foundation, a Not-for-profit organisation. AD MAJOREM DEI GLORIAM

“Praise the Lord for all His wonders to me!” captures Fr. Aloysius inner sentiments as he celebrated his 60th year of the First Religious Profession on the 24th of May, 2020. He renewed his religious vows to live the Evangelical Counsels and to labor for the salvation of souls as he follows the footsteps of Jesus, our Good Shepherd, and in the spirit of our father and founder St John Bosco. Fr. Corlis Gonsalves sdb, the Rector of BBH while celebrating this moment of grace and blessing thanked the Almighty for the gift of Fr. Aloysius Furtado (Alu, as he is fondly known among his near and dear ones) to the Salesian Congregation. He thanked Fr. Alu for the inspiration and motivation he is to the younger generation and congratulated him for his faithfulness and fidelity to God for these fruitful years. A CHILDREN’S DAY PROGRAMME “CHALO ASSAMAN KHO CHU LE” ORGNAIZED BY BBH

             On the 24 th of November 2019, Bosco Boys Home, (BBH) Borivali had organized Children’s Day with the theme “ CHALO ASSAMAN KHO CHU LE ”, programme to appreciate the love, smile and happiness brought by the children specially the poor and abandoned to the society and to show to the little ones how much they are loved, cared and cherished by the society.    While welcoming the children, Fr. Corlis Gonsalves sdb the Rector and Director of BBH said, “Children are the future. Nurture them right so that they grow up to be able leaders and lead the world towards light. Children’s Day is a celebration of the innocence, positive energy and the future of our society.
