DREAM COME TRUE






Bosco Boys Home (BBH), Borivali believes in giving the best for the boys keeping in mind the holistic growth of the boys. Keeping in sync with the goal to provide the latest facilities for the all-round development of the boys and to help them to grow into well balanced, good and honest Human Being. BBH opened an ‘astro turf’ for the better growth and development of the boys in the field of sports.

The astro turf was inaugurated by Mr. Nawal Seth, a benefactor and well-wisher and blessed by Fr. Corlis Gonsalves SDB, the Director of BBH on 18th of February, 2020.

Fr. Gonsalves after the blessing of the turf said, “I am very happy for you dear boys. The management and the staff are providing you great infrastructure, make good use of these facilities for your growth and become well trained and healthy boys.” Fr. Gonsalves, while acknowledging the contribution of Mr. Seth expressed, “Here I would like to specially thank Mr. Seth; he was instrumental not only in initiating the work but also assisted throughout as the turf was being laid. Bosco boys will always be grateful and pray for you.”

Naitik Hate, one of the boys of BBH shared, “I am very grateful to Don Bosco for the latest amenity in the area of sports. For most of us playing on the turf was just a dream but now it is our ‘Dream come True’; it will be a first time for most of us to play on a turf.  I am sure this turf court is going to help us in excelling our skills and talents in the area of sports.”

On the occasion of Children’s day, the children of Bosco Boys Home (BBH), Borivali were joined in their celebration by famous T.V Actress Helly Shah along with the crew of India TV. The children sang songs, recited shayari, danced and played animated games with Helly. Helly Shah is an Indian television actress famous for her roles as Swara in Swaragini, Devanshi in Devanshi and Kaynaat in Sufiyana Pyaar Mera.   Helly Shah applauded the children for their enthusiasm, cheerfulness and energy. While speaking to children her advice was ‘to focus on their studies and to be obedient to their teachers and staff.’ Abbu Murugan, NIOS boys from BBH said, “Thankyou Helly Shah didi and India TV for visiting us. It was very great to see Helly didi, she so kind and loving. “Praise the Lord for all His wonders to me!” captures Fr. Aloysius inner sentiments as he celebrated his 60th year of the First Religious Profession on the 24th of May, 2020. He renewed his religious vows to live the Evangelical Counsels and to labor for the salvation of souls as he follows the footsteps of Jesus, our Good Shepherd, and in the spirit of our father and founder St John Bosco. MEDICAL SOCIAL AWARENESS HEALTH CAMP ON COMMON SKIN INFECTIONS     MUMBAI, SEPTEMBER 28, 2019:   On September 28, 2019, The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai R-Central ward, Borivali West, Mumbai in collaboration with Bosco Boys Home (BBH) organised a Medical social awareness health camp to administer to the boys and the staff of BBH, the awareness about the spread of the Common skin infections like fungus, scabies and leprosy, etc. The resource persons for the sessions were Dr. Vijaya Ahire, Dr. Priya Deokar both Asst. Medical Officer MCGM and Mrs. Nilima Dharmangaonkar a Skin Technician. Father Corlis Gonsalves, Rector of the institute, welcomed the team of Doctors and the team.
