A GREAT WAY TO CHILL OUT

The occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi brought forth a well-deserved break for the boys of Bosco Boys Home in Borivli, as twenty- two boys from the Home, enjoyed a two and a half day outing at Boscowadi from September 13 to September 15, and while the rest of the boys enjoyed a fun filled home holidays.

The boys were patiently awaiting for the Ganesh Holidays and were literally counting the days as the festivity started to commence. The boys were accompanied by the staff namely Matthew George, Dorando Camara, the counsellor Meena Kini, Cl. Jittin Mathew and Dn. Romero D’Souza. This picnic was specially arranged with the help of the benefactors for those boys of the orphanage who could not go to their home for some reasons. The outing was filled with sight-seeing which included the visit to the Church of Our Lady of Sea and the beautiful Uttan Beach. Besides also enjoying themselves in the pool, the boys had a special rosary service for the victims of Kerala Flood and the benefactors. They also had an educative seminar on ‘Go Green and Keep Clean.’ In this seminar, the boys were educated through some practical session on keeping the surroundings clean.

One of the boy, Karan Wagale said. "The picnic was awesome. We thoroughly enjoyed it and want to come again soon and play volley ball in the swimming pool and adore the beautiful sea- shore of Boscowadi.”

"These children deserve to be happy and at the same time be educated about the basic necessities of life. We thank the benefactors and the management for arranging this outing for the boys. This picnic brought a renewed joy and vigour in the boys." Mathew George, the representative of the staff said.
