BOSCO BOYS TAKE PART IN ZAPHYRE COLLEGE FEST



On 27th September, 2018 Thakur College of Engineering and Technology, Kandivli celebrated their College fest ‘Zaphyre.’ The Students’ Council from Thakur College Engineering over the years has been organizing Zaphyre: an occasion that brings togetherness, fun, knowledge, creativity, innovation and freshness in all the aspects of our life and this year to be a part of their celebration, the Rotoract Club of the Institute invited the boys from Bosco Boys Home, Borivali to their festivity.
 
The Zaphyre, the Annual Cultural Festival of TCET since its inception has always brought out the best talents in the college to the fore. It was organized with much fanfare this year too, drawing out huge participation from students all over the college. The whole college seemed enthusiastic to celebrate this auspicious day. The college Students participated in large numbers including the 15 boys from Std. 5th to 8th of Bosco Boys Home proudly displaying their jersey along with their names display on it took part in the event. The Pre-event practice for the boys of the dance were conducted with the help of the volunteers from Thakur College of Engineering itself. Even the dance was choreographed by the Thakur College students. The Dance of the Bosco Boys was very much appreciated by all because of the hard work of the creative and the in-house team.
 
Apart from the dance performance, the children also learned to make creative items with the help of Thakur College students. There were also various games stalls at the College campus. The boys took active part and enjoyed the creative games organized by the students.
Mrs. Waigankar one of the teachers said, “I thank the Bosco Boys staff and the management for the immense support and giving us the opportunity to spend time with the boys and I hope this day brought a little change, enthusiasm and freshness amongst the students.”

Boys had wonderful experience of this event and expressed their gratitude to the students and the management of the Thakur College of Engineering and Technology in their own words: Master Richardson Fernando a boy of Std 9th said, “We want to thank you for your hard work; Thank you for teaching us dance and having fun with us. You brought us in your esteemed College and explained to us about the college. Particularly, I was impressed with the students wearing t-shirts with motivational words ‘We aspire…We inspire’ outfits. We all thank you and we hope you will come again to Bosco Boys Home to inspire and have fun with us and bring joy to the faces of Bosco Boys.”

WELCOME TO DN. XAVIER BANDYA SDB

MUMBAI, JUlY 11, 2019:   Bosco Boys Home, (BBH) Borivali welcomed Dn. Xavier Bandya sdb to their community. He is appointed as the Perfect of Studies and the Catechist of the boys at the Shelter home (YAR cordinator) as well as the Vice Principal of the Technical Institute. Dn. Xavier arrived at BBH, after having completed the course of Bachelor Degree of Theology at Jnana DeepaVidyapeeth (JDV), Pune . Fr. Corlis Gonsalves sdb, the Director of BBH welcomed Dn. Xavier introduced him to the boys. The boys welcomed him with a melodious “Swagatham Dear Father” song and a beautiful free style dance on the song “Baki sab First Class hai”.
