NEW YEAR, NEW HOPES, NEW DREAMS


On 10th July, 2019, Fr. Corlis Gonsalves sdb, the Director of Bosco Boys Home and Technical Training Institute, (BBHTI), Borivali had organised a general staff meeting for the CWC, Technical and Hotel Management department of the Institute. The general idea behind the meeting was to introduce the newly appointed staff namely Mr. Manuel Dias as the Instructor of the Electricians, Mr. Keith D’Souza as the Instructor for the Automobile Department and Mrs. Anita Menezes as the Instructor for the General Duty Assistant- Nursing Course. The meeting was also used to pass on some general instructions related to the smooth functioning of the institute and to answer the queries if there were any.
Fr. Gonsalves addressed the staff in general regarding the feeling of equality, punctuality and functionality. He stressed on the importance of been an inspiration to everyone by bringing about a positive change in the life of students and colleagues they meet. He individually explained the roles of each department and helped them understand the policies and requirements expected from them. He thanked the staff for their dedication, commitment and hardwork they put in daily and encouraged them to continue it. The staff were also given time to clarify their queries.
During the meeting, Dn. Xavier Bandya sdb was introduced to the staff as the new Prefect of Studies of the CWC and the Vice- Principal of the Technial and Hotel Management department by Fr. Corlis.  He was warmly welcomed by the staff.

“Praise the Lord for all His wonders to me!” captures Fr. Aloysius inner sentiments as he celebrated his 60th year of the First Religious Profession on the 24th of May, 2020. FAREWELL TO BR. SHELDON DIAS SDB AND WELCOME TO DN. ROMERO D’SOUZA SDB

Farewell to Sheldon & Welcome to Romero Our boys were enjoying the company of Br. Sheldon for the past 2 weeks. He really made our life in Bosco Boys Home interesting. We had a farewell party for Br. Sheldon Dias who has opted to work for the mission of Gambia in Africa. He studied in the Salesian school till the 8 th Standard after which he was selected and decided to be an Aspirant at Don Bosco Lonavala. He stayed there from 9 th to 12 th (HSC). He did his Pre novitiate in Goa and his Novitiate in Nashik where he expressed his feelings to the novice master of the missions; but was asked to finish his philosophy and then decide which he completed at Nashik. After which he was send to do his Practical Training in Gujarat, Narukot. The house catered to the tribals of the region, there he enjoyed working though at times life was hard and the boys appreciated his presence.
