NEW YEAR, NEW HOPES, NEW DREAMS


On 10th July, 2019, Fr. Corlis Gonsalves sdb, the Director of Bosco Boys Home and Technical Training Institute, (BBHTI), Borivali had organised a general staff meeting for the CWC, Technical and Hotel Management department of the Institute. The general idea behind the meeting was to introduce the newly appointed staff namely Mr. Manuel Dias as the Instructor of the Electricians, Mr. Keith D’Souza as the Instructor for the Automobile Department and Mrs. Anita Menezes as the Instructor for the General Duty Assistant- Nursing Course. The meeting was also used to pass on some general instructions related to the smooth functioning of the institute and to answer the queries if there were any.
Fr. Gonsalves addressed the staff in general regarding the feeling of equality, punctuality and functionality. He stressed on the importance of been an inspiration to everyone by bringing about a positive change in the life of students and colleagues they meet. He individually explained the roles of each department and helped them understand the policies and requirements expected from them. He thanked the staff for their dedication, commitment and hardwork they put in daily and encouraged them to continue it. The staff were also given time to clarify their queries.
During the meeting, Dn. Xavier Bandya sdb was introduced to the staff as the new Prefect of Studies of the CWC and the Vice- Principal of the Technial and Hotel Management department by Fr. Corlis.  He was warmly welcomed by the staff.

WELCOME TO DN. XAVIER BANDYA SDB

MUMBAI, JUlY 11, 2019:   Bosco Boys Home, (BBH) Borivali welcomed Dn. Xavier Bandya sdb to their community. He is appointed as the Perfect of Studies and the Catechist of the boys at the Shelter home (YAR cordinator) as well as the Vice Principal of the Technical Institute. Dn. Xavier arrived at BBH, after having completed the course of Bachelor Degree of Theology at Jnana DeepaVidyapeeth (JDV), Pune . Fr. Corlis Gonsalves sdb, the Director of BBH welcomed Dn. Xavier introduced him to the boys. The boys welcomed him with a melodious “Swagatham Dear Father” song and a beautiful free style dance on the song “Baki sab First Class hai”. As a welcoming gesture the boys presented Dn. Xavier with a beautiful welcome card. Work for GOD and Work for Society It was a dream come true when we the parishioners of Nativity of Our Lord Church Kandivli East stepped out after our Sunday School class and visited Bosco Boys Home (BBH), Borivali on Sunday, 22 nd September 2019. We were a group of children from class 7 th , 8 th and 9 th not knowing what we were expected to see here. Of course our teachers, parents and a few from the youth group were with us. Cl. Jittin Mathew sdb took us on a tour of the technical skills training section explaining the courses offered by the 5 skills training departments (4 wheeler light vehicle mechanics, 2wheeler mechanics, Electrical, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and Hotel Management). The training courses are offered to the poorest of poor youth and school dropouts (age group 8years and above) to help them learn an employment generating skill and be able to alleviate the income level in their homes.
