THANK YOU DEAR FR. PROVINCIAL GODFREY D’SOUZA SDB




“Thank you for being the reason I smile” was theme for the thanksgiving programme for Fr. Provincial Godfrey D’Souza sdb organized by the children of Bosco Boys Home, (BBH), Borivali on 20th July, 2019.
As the term of Fr. Godfrey as the Provincial of Mumbai Province is coming to its culmination, the Management, Staff and the children of BBH saw it fitting to give him a sweet and entertaining good-bye by thanking him for the special predilection he had for BBH.

            The children welcomed Fr. Provincial with a Hindi welcome song “Swagatham Dear Father Swagatham”. The Technical boarders sang the song “Never Alone” by Lady Antebellum for Fr. Provincial by letting him know that they are always praying for him and his apostolate. The CWC boys presented a fusion dance to the tune of songs from the movies Bharat and Kalank. In between, the children from CWC, Post 10, Technical and Working sector came forward and thanked Fr. Provincial personally for the  “being the reason of their smile.”  They shared their testimony of how through Don Bosco institute their lives changed and brightened up. Which was followed up by a beautiful address thanking Fr. Provincial for his service to the Mumbai Province. The 3 different cards from the CWC, Technical and the Working Boys were presented to the Fr. Provincial as a token of love.
 The Rector of BBH, Fr. Corlis Gonsalves, then thanked Fr. Provincial Godfrey D’Souza for being there all the time for the BBH family. Fr. Provincial appreciated the gratitude show by the children and reminded them to be obedient to the Salesians so as to be happy and successful in their life.

             On the 24 th of November 2019, Bosco Boys Home, (BBH) Borivali had organized Children’s Day with the theme “ CHALO ASSAMAN KHO CHU LE ”, programme to appreciate the love, smile and happiness brought by the children specially the poor and abandoned to the society and to show to the little ones how much they are loved, cared and cherished by the society.    While welcoming the children, Fr. Corlis Gonsalves sdb the Rector and Director of BBH said, “Children are the future. Nurture them right so that they grow up to be able leaders and lead the world towards light. Children’s Day is a celebration of the innocence, positive energy and the future of our society. FAREWELL TO BR. SHELDON DIAS SDB AND WELCOME TO DN. ROMERO D’SOUZA SDB

Farewell to Sheldon & Welcome to Romero Our boys were enjoying the company of Br. Sheldon for the past 2 weeks. He really made our life in Bosco Boys Home interesting. We had a farewell party for Br. Sheldon Dias who has opted to work for the mission of Gambia in Africa. He studied in the Salesian school till the 8 th Standard after which he was selected and decided to be an Aspirant at Don Bosco Lonavala. He stayed there from 9 th to 12 th (HSC). He did his Pre novitiate in Goa and his Novitiate in Nashik where he expressed his feelings to the novice master of the missions; but was asked to finish his philosophy and then decide which he completed at Nashik. After which he was send to do his Practical Training in Gujarat, Narukot. The house catered to the tribals of the region, there he enjoyed working though at times life was hard and the boys appreciated his presence. The following year he was transferred to Don Bosco Chinchwad, Pune, Technical Institute. There he was
