WELCOME TO DN. XAVIER BANDYA SDB


MUMBAI, JUlY 11, 2019: 

Bosco Boys Home, (BBH) Borivali welcomed Dn. Xavier Bandya sdb to their community. He is appointed as the Perfect of Studies and the Catechist of the boys at the Shelter home (YAR cordinator) as well as the Vice Principal of the Technical Institute. Dn. Xavier arrived at BBH, after having completed the course of Bachelor Degree of Theology at Jnana DeepaVidyapeeth (JDV), Pune.
Fr. Corlis Gonsalves sdb, the Director of BBH welcomed Dn. Xavier introduced him to the boys. The boys welcomed him with a melodious “Swagatham Dear Father” song and a beautiful free style dance on the song “Baki sab First Class hai”. As a welcoming gesture the boys presented Dn. Xavier with a beautiful welcome card.
While thanking the boys for their kindness shown to him, he insisted the boys to apply themselves in studies and make it their immediate priority. He told the boys to always follow the values of honesty and hardwork to be happy in life.
Dn. Xavier along with his Theological studies also have done an ITI study in the field of Motor Mechanic from the reputed “Joseph Cardijn Technical School, Dadar”.   
With prayerful blessings we wish Dn. Xavier all the best for his immediate ministry with the little angels of BBH.

On the occasion of Children’s day, the children of Bosco Boys Home (BBH), Borivali were joined in their celebration by famous T.V Actress Helly Shah along with the crew of India TV. The children sang songs, recited shayari, danced and played animated games with Helly. Helly Shah is an Indian television actress famous for her roles as Swara in Swaragini, Devanshi in Devanshi and Kaynaat in Sufiyana Pyaar Mera.   Helly Shah applauded the children for their enthusiasm, cheerfulness and energy. While speaking to children her advice was ‘to focus on their studies and to be obedient to their teachers and staff.’ Abbu Murugan, NIOS boys from BBH said, “Thankyou Helly Shah didi and India TV for visiting us. It was very great to see Helly didi, she so kind and loving. “Praise the Lord for all His wonders to me!” captures Fr. Aloysius inner sentiments as he celebrated his 60th year of the First Religious Profession on the 24th of May, 2020. He renewed his religious vows to live the Evangelical Counsels and to labor for the salvation of souls as he follows the footsteps of Jesus, our Good Shepherd, and in the spirit of our father and founder St John Bosco. Aloysius Furtado (Alu, as he is fondly known among his near and dear ones) to the Salesian Congregation. He thanked Fr. FAREWELL TO BR. SHELDON DIAS SDB AND WELCOME TO DN. ROMERO D’SOUZA SDB

Farewell to Sheldon & Welcome to Romero Our boys were enjoying the company of Br. Sheldon for the past 2 weeks. He really made our life in Bosco Boys Home interesting. We had a farewell party for Br. Sheldon Dias who has opted to work for the mission of Gambia in Africa. He studied in the Salesian school till the 8 th Standard after which he was selected and decided to be an Aspirant at Don Bosco Lonavala. He stayed there from 9 th to 12 th (HSC). He did his Pre novitiate in Goa and his Novitiate in Nashik where he expressed his feelings to the novice master of the missions; but was asked to finish his philosophy and then decide which he completed at Nashik. After which he was send to do his Practical Training in Gujarat, Narukot. The house catered to the tribals of the region, there he enjoyed working though at times life was hard and the boys appreciated his presence.
