“Life is a beautiful journey and let’s together,
Fly higher!” Keeping this thought in mind, around 25 volunteers of the NGO Fly
Higher India paid a visit to the Bosco Boys Home in Borivali on October 28 from
10.30 am to 1.00 pm, to spread smiles to the ones who really deserved it.
The
NGO Fly Higher India (FHI) is an initiative of Apmvm Foundation, a
Not-for-profit organisation. Started in end of 2017, the initiative soon spread to various cities and
impacted lives of thousands of children and involved hundreds of
volunteers. Its aim is to inculcate life
skills, instil values, and imbibe confidence among the underprivileged children
and youth across India. They do so by using recreational
and educational tools, making them better prepared for
adult life.
The children were then divided into groups, age
wise. Those belonging to the age group of 10-14 years, had a creativity
session, where the children drew and made a painting of what they aspired to be
in their life and for those within the age group of 15-18 years, a formal
email writing session for job application was taught. Followed by a career
counselling session.
Salim Shaikh, from Bosco Boys
Home, joyfully expressed “Thank you team of Fly Higher India for making our day
full of learning to be joyful, hopeful and loving and to always believe that
sky the limit.” he said.
😇👏👏
