PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT WORK SHOP









Jannat Media Production in collaboration with Bosco Boys Home, Borivali organised a workshop on Personality Development for the children of the Orphanage on 14 October.
 It was an enlighting session conducted by the recourse person Ms. Pratima Karmarkar. In all there were 20 participants for the programme. Stressing the importance of developing ones personality, Ms. Karmarkar said, “Personality development grooms an individual and helps him make a mark of his/her own, Personality development goes a long way in reducing stress and conflicts and helps you develop a positive attitude in life. It helps an individual to inculcate positive qualities like punctuality, flexible attitude, willingness to learn, friendly nature, eagerness to help others.”
Dn. Romero D’Souza, the Perfect of the boys, welcomed Ms. Pratima Karmarkar and her team with warm embrace and congratulated them for their kind and generous gesture towards the orphanage. Dn. D’Souza thanked them and especially Jannat Media Production and their Director Nizamuddin Shah for taking keen interest in the welfare for the boys and helping them to groom these boys into becoming good and value filled responsible youths.
The session was for two hours, in which the boys were introduced to some soft skills with the help of creative and animated games. The session were well planned and divided into three parts namely individual activities, partner activities and group activities. For the individual activities, the boys were some common tasks to perform and were evaluated on the basis of accuracy and spontaneity. For the other two activities, the boys were asked to prepare Mime and skits.
Mr. Shah shared, “Many of these activities were conducted and performed to help the boys develop their confidence and help them to express themselves more freely and explore their talents. I would like to thank the management and staff of Bosco Boys Home and Technical Institute for the support and co-operation offered towards us and for the good work they are doing and continue to do. God bless them.”

Farewell to Sheldon & Welcome to Romero Our boys were enjoying the company of Br. Sheldon for the past 2 weeks. He really made our life in Bosco Boys Home interesting. We had a farewell party for Br. Sheldon Dias who has opted to work for the mission of Gambia in Africa. He studied in the Salesian school till the 8 th Standard after which he was selected and decided to be an Aspirant at Don Bosco Lonavala. He stayed there from 9 th to 12 th (HSC). He did his Pre novitiate in Goa and his Novitiate in Nashik where he expressed his feelings to the novice master of the missions; but was asked to finish his philosophy and then decide which he completed at Nashik. After which he was send to do his Practical Training in Gujarat, Narukot. The house catered to the tribals of the region, there he enjoyed working though at times life was hard and the boys appreciated his presence.
