TREK TO BOSCOWADI




MUMBAI, OCTOBER 06, 2018: Boscowadi located at Gorai Beach, Sawant Wadi, has always been a picnic spot for all those who wanted to spend quality time together for having fun and some moments of laughter and get together. On October 06, the Hotel Management Batch of Bosco Boys Home and Technical Institue, Borivali, spent a memorable day at the nature-friendly resort at Boscowadi as a parting gift as they move ahead to their next level of training as part of their course.
25 students along with the staff set out early in the morning.  The journey itself was very interesting because of the singing, the goda-gadi riding and other fun all along the way. The day was filled with events such as trekking, games such as football and volley ball, rain dance, swimming and to top it all with a sumptuous lunch (chicken curry, pulav, dal fry and roti). Joy Dcunha, one of the staff said, “We had a wonderful time and enjoyed ourselves to the full. We wish luck to the students for their future endevours.”
One could see from the faces of the students that there indeed happy and ever grateful to the Salesians and the staff. They were filled with a sense of appreciation and generosity for all that they have received in the course as well as today as they concluded with this outing to Boscowadi. Kingston, one of the student had this to say: “Thanks for all your help and support. I will always be grateful to Don Bosco and to Bosco Boys Home and Technical Institute for giving a proper direction in life.”

          The students from Mary Immaculate, Borivali came to Bosco Boys’ Home (BBH) respectively on the 19 th and 20 th of December with celebrate and spread the spirit of Christmas to the boys of the orphanage. The trip was organised by the Management and staff of Mary Immaculate Primary and High School section. It was divided into two batches on the 19 th the Primary section and on the next day the Secondary section. The students were accompanied by Sr. Payal, MSA and the other staffs from the school. “Praise the Lord for all His wonders to me!” captures Fr. Aloysius inner sentiments as he celebrated his 60th year of the First Religious Profession on the 24th of May, 2020. He renewed his religious vows to live the Evangelical Counsels and to labor for the salvation of souls as he follows the footsteps of Jesus, our Good Shepherd, and in the spirit of our father and founder St John Bosco. PARENTS MEETING

On the 5 th of November, 2018 the management and staff of Bosco Boys Home had organised a Parents meeting.   As the Diwali holiday came near the children of Bosco Boys Home were in happier mood as they were informed that they would be allowed to go home for few days for the Diwali celebration. Taking his opportunity, the staff decided to have a brief meeting of the children along with their parents informing them about the progress of their child and new projects been prepared for the betterment of the children. Fr. Corlis Gonsalves, the Director of the Institute, welcomed the parents and briefed them about the upcoming programmes been planned for the children and the new rules applied by the Child Welfare Committee for the children regarding the holidays.
