HEALTH CAMP AT BOSCO BOYS HOME



The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai R-Central ward, Borivli West, Mumbai in collaboration with Bosco Boys Home (BBH) organised a health camp to administer tetanus vaccination to the boys of the Home on July 13.

Father Corlis Gonsalves, Rector of the institute, welcomed Doctor Hemant Vakare and his team. Father Gonsalves thanked them for their kind initiative and service offered to the institute. The camp was organised as a preventive measure to help boys and technical students build up their immune system, so as to remain healthy during the monsoons.

Deepak Thikkar addressed the gathering about the various monsoon-related diseases, like dengue, malaria and tuberculosis. An interactive session was then held, in which questions regarding the causes of these diseases and their preventive measures were discussed. 

The input session ended with the vaccination of the 127 participants with the Tetanus vaccine, which included the shelter boys, the technical students and the staff.

“Praise the Lord for all His wonders to me!” captures Fr. Aloysius inner sentiments as he celebrated his 60th year of the First Religious Profession on the 24th of May, 2020. CARING AND SHARING WITH LOVE

          The students from Mary Immaculate, Borivali came to Bosco Boys’ Home (BBH) respectively on the 19 th and 20 th of December with celebrate and spread the spirit of Christmas to the boys of the orphanage. The trip was organised by the Management and staff of Mary Immaculate Primary and High School section. It was divided into two batches on the 19 th the Primary section and on the next day the Secondary section. The students were accompanied by Sr. Payal, MSA and the other staffs from the school. The students started with an introduction by playing an icebreaker game wherein they got to know the names of the boys. Then the programme started with the pictorial description, carol singing and a skit beautifully enacting the Nativity of the Lord explaining to the boys about the real meaning of Christmas.
